The short version

We earn a commission when you buy a product through a link on this site. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same as going to the retailer directly.

Which links earn us money

Any link that takes you to a retailer or brand to buy something. Every one of them is marked in the page’s HTML with rel="sponsored nofollow", which is the standard declaration search engines require. You can verify this yourself: right-click any outbound link and choose “Inspect”.

Links to research, standards documents, manufacturer specifications and news articles earn us nothing.

What the commission does not affect

We rank on fit, not on commission. When a chair that pays us less is the better answer for the person asking, we recommend the chair that pays us less. Where two options are genuinely close and one pays more, we say so on the page.

We have no paid placements. No brand has paid us to be recommended, and no brand can. If that ever changes, this page changes first and the affected pages will say so explicitly.

What happens when you click

Clicking a monetised link takes you to the retailer’s own site. The retailer, or the affiliate network they use, records that the visit came from us — usually with a cookie set on their domain. That record is how we get paid.

We do not control those cookies and we cannot see them. See Privacy for what we can and cannot see.

Prices

We do not display prices. Prices in Indian retail change weekly, and a price shown here would be wrong more often than right. Every recommendation links out so you see the live price at the retailer.

Where a price is unavoidable — a budget in a page title, for instance — it carries the date we checked it.

What we will never do

• No countdown timers, fake stock warnings or invented urgency
• No “best in India”, “#1” or “cheapest” claims we cannot substantiate
• No links routed through our own domain to hide where they go
• No recommending a product we would not use ourselves
